Speaking of future cars - yes, we were, 2050 BMW ring a bell? -, Samir Sadikhov has designed a futuristic hybrid supercar. Its design proposal takes inspiration from models like the Pininfarina/Ferrari P4/5, the Bugatti Veyron and the Jaguar XJ220, with an interior inspired by the Lexus LF-A. If that isn’t a luscious combination of stellar vehicles then we don’t know what would be. Unless, of course, we go back to the Pagani/McLaren/Ferrari inspired Zonda Concept we featured a few days ago, but moving on.
The Inceptor Supercar features elongated A-pillars set far forward, almost directly in the driver’s line of vision. There are also scissor doors inspired from the doors on the GT40 Le Mans winner. The designer added cat-like haunches at the front and outrigger-style rear wheel covers and a jet inspired exhaust system. The interior gets treated like any other supercar with sports seats, leather, and air conditioner vents sculpted into the dash.
The only question we would have is whether or not we could really see a car like this out on the streets. Our guess is that we would have to wait until 2020 to find out, but it definitely wouldn’t be a bad thing. We could name a few vehicles which were just downright ugly and still made it to production.
